Emerging Manager Delivery Framework
Elevating the partner's next generation of global fund managers.
NXP delivers [Partner X]'s GP Education Program — a comprehensive curriculum that transforms emerging fund managers into globally competitive GPs capable of raising from institutional LPs. We are practitioners who have sat on both sides of the table — as GPs who built and ran funds, and as LPs who have written checks into emerging managers. Platform, curriculum, and mentor network are built and ready to run.
Program scope — Sections A through E
GP Education Program
22 sessions: 1-day in-person orientation + 21 virtual sessions across fund architecture, LP archetypes, capital raising, fund operations, compliance, and ecosystem building.
LP Showcase / Demo Day

Regional LP/GP Panel
4-person LP/GP panel at the partner's flagship convening (early October 2026). NXP provides two overseas investors at GP/Partner level. Coordinated with [Partner X] program organizers.
1-on-1 Mentoring (10× per participant)
Each of the 10–15 fund teams receives 10 structured mentoring sessions with NXP principals — covering LP pitch, fund docs, governance, and warm introductions.
Debrief & Final Report
Post-program session with all participants + written final report to [Partner X]. Delivered by March 13, 2027.
The problem — solvable and structural
Access to institutional LPs
Emerging GPs struggle to access institutional LPs — endowments, foundations, fund-of-funds, and family offices — because they lack warm introductions, LP-ready track records, and the vocabulary that institutional allocators require.
Institutional best practices
Fund construction, LP reporting, governance structures, and capital-raising timelines vary widely across markets. Most emerging GPs have never been trained by someone who has actually built a fund.
Trusted endorsement
Without a trusted endorsement from an existing GP or LP, emerging managers are structurally invisible to the institutional LP community. Access is the bottleneck — not track record, not strategy, not team.

Practitioners, not lecturers
We've sat on both sides of the table.
NXP teaches from experience, not theory. Our principals have collectively built and run 9 GP seats, held 13+ LP positions across emerging manager funds, and actively mentored six first-time GPs from launch through first close.
Christian Gammill
BS Chemistry, Michigan State · MBA, Michigan. Career path: Bench chemist in pharma → IBM innovation infrastructure → XPRIZE Foundation → founding GP, Technicolor Ventures ($40M) → Industrious Ventures ($20M) → Co-Founder & Managing Partner, NXP. With Camden, co-founded NXP and shaped its expert-led, industry-thesis model — vetting deals through the operator's domain lens, not financial models alone. Four vintages, each larger, with Top Quartile outcomes; together they've helped launch a number of emerging GPs. Christian drives the early phases of new growth opportunities and shares senior relationship management across the partnership. His Technicolor LP stake in Bullpen Capital and his mentorship of Mark Linao there seeded relationships now across the team. Top 50 Emerging Leader in Venture Capital (GCV, 2026).
Tom Copeman
Currently LP in 3 different emerging manager funds across venture and growth strategies. Deep relationships across the institutional LP community. Will lead the LP Showcase as co-host and manage institutional LP outreach for participant funds. Has evaluated hundreds of EM pitches and knows exactly what LP allocators look for.
Mark Linao
BSE Engineering, Michigan · MBA, Michigan Ross. Career path: Raytheon → Amazon → Technicolor Ventures → Partner, Akatsuki Venture Fund → GP, Progression Fund ($40M) → Head of Growth & Portfolio Impact, NXP. Drives portfolio value from the industry perspective — a founder-focused investor who sharpens what makes a company acquisition-ready versus merely investable. As GP of the Progression Fund ($40M), in which Camden and Christian are LPs, he applies a strategic and financial lens to portfolio growth. His partnership with Christian dates to Technicolor Ventures, where he was Christian's associate.
Camden McRae
BA Psychology, Harvard · JD, Stanford Law. Career path: SV founder → Lightspeed Venture Fellow → Alchemist Fellow → Principal, Noname Ventures → Industrious Ventures ($20M) → Co-Founder & Managing Partner, NXP. Co-founded NXP with Christian and built the industry-capital model behind it. Camden owns firm-level management and infrastructure — the governance discipline that lets a thesis-driven platform scale without losing rigor — and shares senior LP and relationship management with Christian. Co-founded BLCK VC and the Black Venture Institute, experience that shaped his approach to community and platform building and to ecosystem engagement. He and Christian are LPs in the Progression Fund led by longtime collaborator Mark Linao.
Brooke Boucaut
BA Art History & Psychology, Yale · MBA, UCLA Anderson. Career path: Family snack manufacturing → Innosight (Clayton Christensen) → founded & exited a food-technology company → UCLA Anderson Venture Accelerator → Associate, Rocana Ventures → Partner, NXP. Built CXF from thesis to LP commitment — identifying where food & ag venture is structurally underserved and designing a fund to capture it. Brings deep, broad food-industry expertise and connectivity across manufacturing, commercialization, and operator and grower networks. Evaluates founders as a former operator who built and exited in the category, and has worked alongside Camden and Christian for years — a partnership that predates NXP. Helped scale Cultivate Next from $50M to $150M.
Roberto Ayala
BA Political Science & Spanish, Arizona State University · MBA, University of Michigan. Career path: Serial corporate VC across Wipro, Schneider Electric, and Ulta Beauty → Program Co-Director, NXP. Has led innovation and growth initiatives for Fortune 500 companies from thesis to scale. Oversees [Partner X] program management, cohort operations, and participant coordination for the GP Education Program 2026.
Guest Faculty Roster
Curated network of GPs, LPs, and CVC operators contributing 1–2 sessions each. The roster spans senior LP allocators, active emerging managers, and CVC operators drawn from NXP's institutional network. Full roster confirmed at program kickoff.
22 sessions, six phases, one cohort
Six phases. Twenty-two sessions. Built for institutional readiness.
The curriculum is engineered for the [Partner X] GP Education Program: a 1-day in-person orientation plus 21 virtual working sessions, delivered across six phases. Content is grounded in NXP's proprietary playbook — VC Fundamentals, the Fund 0 Program, the Blended Platform Strategy, and field notes from the family offices and corporate venture platforms NXP has built from scratch. Session 1 of every phase is unlocked below as proof of depth. Full chapter access unlocks with cohort. A Bonus track captures the deeper NXP intellectual capital that extends beyond the core curriculum.

The intellectual capital behind the curriculum.
The Fellowship curriculum is built on NXP's proprietary research and field notes. The three foundational documents below anchor the fund architecture, LP archetype, and program-delivery chapters delivered to the [Partner X] cohort. Read the abstracts inline or download the full PDFs.
Blended Platform Strategy
NXP's flagship white paper on platform architecture — a structural framework for deploying capital across vehicle types, thesis scope, and portfolio construction. Four vehicle layers (Fund-of-Funds, Partner Funds, Managed Funds, Special Vehicles) converge into a single blended platform that generates compounding outputs across returns, capital, information, and access. The strategic answer for any organization ready to establish a next-generation venture presence.
Fund 0 Program — The Proof-of-Concept Fund
NXP's venture franchise-builder for the next generation of family and enterprise leaders — turning domain expertise and aligned capital into a credentialed GP with a thesis, a track record, and a platform of their own. Documents the six-quarter roadmap from thesis to Fund I, the six success criteria, the shared chassis across Base and Pro tracks, and the Individualized Development Plan that anchors Associate → Principal → Partner → GP progression.
Fellowship Program — Venture Education Curriculum
The complete curriculum document behind the [Partner X] GP Education Program. A three-track Individualized Development Plan integrating Network & Leadership, Research & Development, and Venture Operations — with the Cluster Method for sector analysis, Investment Landscape Mapping, portfolio construction & syndicate strategy, corporate innovation, and live case studies from Cultivate Next. This is the master document from which the [Partner X] 22-session program is delivered.
All three papers are available for [Partner X] review.
